The Wayfinding Getaway by Intercultural Cue places our Career Cue curriculum into the context of a retreat in order to facilitate a personal development experience that allows participants to discover a deep sense of fulfillment and a clear sense of direction. Career Cue is a uniquely designed and holistically minded two-day personal and vocational discovery program, which utilizes tools such as wayfinding, design thinking, Career Anchors, and narrative discovery to help you discover deep meaning as you curate a life plan that ensures career fulfillment and impact through legacy.
Dr. Mary Kay Park, Founder and CEO of Intercultural Cue designed Career Cue as a response to the growing trend of frequent job transition amongst millennials and baby boomers alike. Previous career assessment tools have targeted single job functions, but failed to direct members of the workforce toward careers that align with their goals, values, motivations, and - ultimately - their personal story! As an interculturalist, Dr. Park approaches the career development process with the philosophy that our future is deeply informed by the people, places, and events that have shaped us. As a result, Career Cue is uniquely effective in providing clients with achievable and sustainable steps toward personal fulfillment and job satisfaction by placing narrative discovery at the epicenter of the process.
In addition, results rendered through the narrative discovery process, paired with the scientific assessment tool Career Anchors (Schein & Van Maanen), give participants traction in confidently pursuing the life trajectory most aligned with their passions. Career Anchors, complimentary with Career Cue workshop enrollment, facilitates a functional application of personal goals by illuminating which type of work participants will find most fulfilling!
The Career Cue curriculum consists of four modules completed over the course of 12 instructional hours and 3 personal reflection hours. The Wayfinding Getaway is our most intensive Career Cue workshop experience. By completing this curriculum in the context of a retreat, you will be able to fully maximize the opportunity for introspection, self-reflection, and career path planning.
We invite you to join us for our next Wayfinding Getaway April 29-30, 2016* in Palm Springs, CA. During this two-day retreat, you will have the opportunity to escape from the distractions of home, connect with others who are similarly searching for personal development and vocational direction, rejuvenate your spirit, and discover the work that will be most fulfilling for you. We look forward to seeing you in Palm Springs!
